Amazon , not a super expensive DX Racer but I’m happy compared to what I had.

I have a different brand chair (but my guess is they're all made in the same factory). Not a bad price considering free shipping.

This is the specific chair I have.

Here's another example of a clearly similar chair.

It was easy to assemble, is relatively comfortable, tilts/swivels and has adjustable height.

I'm not sure if this specific model can lean back, if it can't then I would say pass, and grab one of the other two chairs I listed since the price is similar, and the definitely can lean back.

My college friend picked one up and was real happy with it throughout school

This chair seems pretty good for $65

I’d say you generally want to go for something that goes the length of your back and supports your neck. Also, some decent cushioning, no one wants to sit on a wooden plank.

Lastly and this may depend on your preference, arm rests. Ones that connect to the bottom and back of the chair so they don’t wiggle around, some people may not want arm rests so they can push their chair in under their desk, but I find them nice when leaning back and watching movies on my computer.

I’ve got this one and I’m pleased with it. Just a basic gaming chair. Price was right though. Adjustable height up and down and a springy lean back that can be locked out.

This is what I was thinking. I'm 6'1 or so, I think it would work but I don't know for sure. If I may, what would the negatives be to me having a desk where it would be too high for my legs?

I looked at Herman Miller, their chairs look very nice. But the fact is I would not spend 600 dollars on a chair. Sorry, thats just my opinion. I understand why good chairs are helpful, but at the end of the day I don't think its worth it. I would not spend more that 150 dolalrs on a chair, unless it was really revolutionary. Not to say I don't care about my health, I would spend 600 dollars or more on a standing desk.

I'm not trying to sound pompous while saying this, I am really curious. What makes this chair:

worth so much more than this one:

Edit: Thanks for responding in a conversational manner.

Edit: In my opinion, there are plenty of great options for 100 dollars or less. I can link a few. I might be wrong, I'm not a chair expert, but they look fine to me.

I got this chair a few months ago. For me, it is super comfortable. Has an office chair feel yet still has a physical gaming chair appeal. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXXM5EK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_F4evCbKVXHPN8

This is mine. I enjoy it but I also upgraded from a total piece of shit. I like it because it’s a full sized chair but doesn’t have that “space cadet” look.

It's so comfy. If you're looking for a chair that's still a gaming chair, but that doesn't look like that I would suggest something like this maybe?
