Promotes healthy skin and coat to reduce excess sheddingEnriched with Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids loaded with vitamins and proteinsPerfect on both cats and dogsNon-drying, non-irritating hypoallergenic formulationUsed and recommended by veterinarians and professional groomers worldwide
This is the regimen I use for my heavily-shedding dog:
Wash her with the Furminator deshedding shampoo and conditioner as directed on the back of the bottles, and lather in both products in with a Zoom Groom, which helps work the dead hair out of the coat. Rinse her off, towel dry, and then blow-dry her with a high-velocity dryer to blow out all the loose hairs. Continue to brush her out over the next few days with an undercoat rake, shedding blade, Zoom Groom, and/or Furminator brush. Vacuum the house both with a Roomba and conventional vacuum. Rinse and repeat.
And then it's manageable. :)
WOW! so much great info! exactly what I was looking for! So you would recommend the DIY self service > PetSmart Furminator package?
Thanks for getting me the info while on mobile, i looked at furminator brush but thought that cant be the only thing i need, and couldn't find a specific grooming source this was super helpful. I will look into both DIY & Furminator.
Just to make sure i got the DIY procedure down:
Thanks for the help! seems like DIY could cost me about ~$50-60. I just thought it would cost more for the tools they had in this grooming pyranees video
