I bought the aluminum xbox elite replacement thumbsticks. If I ever have to replace the ones in my V2, I'd go with those again.

I made 3 simple mods to my controller, and had some real success:

> - hair trigger / trigger stop see here- (pretty decent mod)

  • xbox elite sticks - See here (really good if you want to play with high sensitivity) Much nicer than control freaks.
  • DIY SCUF/paddle mod (no soldering!) - See here - these guys also sell paddles for the switches. Install guide here. I only have two switches/paddles - X and O. (jump and crouch/prone)

    Took some labour, but didn't total more than 1 or two hours. The real benefit here, is that the controller remains wireless. Strikepack forces USB only.

    Worth the effort in my opinion.
