I use the products below and they work perfectly for my flow! I plug the reader directly into my phone from the car and the app allows me to review videos right away. This flow should keep me going until iOS 13 releases later this year. Highly recommend this workflow to others here.
Geekgo MicroSD card reader with a lightning end and USB end. I wish I bought one that also had a USB-C end so I can review videos on my iPad Pro

Format the memory card as FAT32 (you will need to search google how to do this on a large storage device - the built-in Windows option wonât do it) and put a single folder in it called âTeslaCamâ (without quotes) and thatâs it for setup. Plug the memory card into the reader and plug it into one of the front USB ports in the car, and then you should be good to go. Make sure youâve got a little camera icon at the top right corner of the Model 3âs screen that indicates recording.
The same thing happened to me, USB drives aren't meant for writing/rewriting video. You need to get a Samsung PRO Endurance 128GB Micro SDXC Card, it's made for dashcam's and bodycams. I bought mine with a Geekgo adapter so I can watch the sentry videos on my iPhone đ
