Do you just use these receiving blankets instead of burp cloths? The best burp cloths are actually cloth diapers, I love these, we use them for everything, I bought 5 or 6 packs of them. Don't skimp out and get the cheaper 3-ply ones, my mom bought us some of those thinking it was a deal and they are kinda useless.

These and these are the ones someone had recommended in a previous thread

Yes, it’s very easy. I use folded fleece or these Gerber cloth diaper “prefolds” (Gerber Prefold Gauze Diaper, White, 5 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007VBYVXI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eTJHDbMG3F4EA). I had them left over from when my kids were in diapers, haha. They also make cloth diaper inserts with charcoal that are very absorbent and fit right on a shelf. They are a bit more expensive. I just pull a bit of the cloth through the bars in the back corner and clip a binder clip to hold it in place. If you have crazy girl rats they might pull it up, haha. But in my experience the wire bar floors do not hold the smell and puddles of pee that a solid shelf does, so they are generally cleaner. You’ll want to spray with the vinegar mix and scrub with hot soapy water as needed when you’re cleaning. One of my previous posts was asking about the dimensions of the shelves, so I’ll try to link that (if you want to prepare fleece ahead of time. They are about as wide as the Gerber prefolds and a bit longer. I actually leave a bit of the wire exposed because it seems like sometimes they like to lie on it. But definitely try to cover most of it because food, pee, etc will build up (yuck!). I change them out about every other day. Good luck! Oh and the ramps I don’t cover. They aren’t on them for long. I’ll wipe them down periodically.
