Reddit reviews Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Complete Collection

There might not be any Ghost in the Shell series Blu-ray releases? I've not seen one although I'll admit I only started monitoring anime BD releases like a hawk earlier this year.

I currently only see evidence that the summary movies for the series (The Laughing Man and Individual Eleven) are listed. Likewise, DVD Aficionado (also tracks BDs) thinks that as well. I'd assume that something as important as the series being released on BD would have created enough of a stir to move people at either Amazon or DVDAF to create relevant entries. Solid State Society is simply available.

Otherwise, shopping via Amazon is fine for me although I usually augment the searches using DVD Aficionado. If DVDs are fine then the Anime Legends versions of the first and second seasons are very affordable.

As far as watching it online, Ghost in the Shell Arise Borders 1 and 2 are available for streaming on Funimations streaming service and Netflix (US and Canada), Stand alone complex is on Hulu (1st and 2nd gig), while the other versions are not available for legal streaming as far as I know.

Watch the original first. There's the classic, then the New Blu-Ray release Both fairly priced for their animation quality.

You can watch Innocence next, if you liked the philosophical aspects of the first movie a lot, otherwise it's skippable.

Then Stand Alone Complex season 1, Season 2, and afterwards, Solid State Society if Stand Alone complex left a bad taste in your mouth at the end of the series. Both are priced fairly considering how much content they contain.

After that, you can watch Arise if you enjoyed the action parts of it a lot more. It's pricey, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Do be aware Arise is a prequel to the series.

The order of shows in Chronological order is: Arise, then Stand Alone Complex, then the original movie, then Ghost in the Shell: Innocence.

All have nudity, sexual imagery, violence, and strong language.

Is that the series that is playing on Adult Swim? Because i'm looking around for the show and i came across many different variations with different titles.
