Razors are simply one of the easiest examples for the "pink tax" argument. A real-world example using razors is that my ex used to use those three-blade Venus razors with the lubricating strips and the thing that changes colors when it's time to buy more or whatever. Before just saying "fuckit" and getting myself a trimmer, I used to use those "mach3" razors. She later took my leftover refills when she ran out of hers. Both are by Gillette. Without getting into the insane bells & whistles with the bar of soap wrapped around it for 13 dollars for two razors, the most comparable women's "mach3" razor is this Venus razor 3-pack. It's $8.49. A near-identical Mach3 that we both used is $7.99 for a 3-pack, plus a $2 coupon, so it's $5.99 for the men's razors. It's also cheaper to buy 8-pack Mach3 compared to the Venus.

I get that one's for face, and one's for legs, but she had no problem using my leftover refills and they were cheaper all around.

Sometimes the handles are bigger for easier shaving in the shower. Sometimes they use different perfumes on the lubrication strip. Some of them have extra plastic around the head for reasons I can't comprehend.

But, beyond that, it's mostly just color & marketing.

Quite simply, modern economics lacks the methodology to consider ethics. Asking an economist what's ethical sounds like the setup to a joke.

It might be worth noting though that there is quite a bit of gender based price discrimination in markets. Car insurance is a classic example, and it took me 30 seconds to find this example (men's product; women's product) on Amazon.
