This is your keyboard. It's great. Really great. It's like your fingers are having sex.
About the cooler, I've been able to get my 2500k to 4.5 with the stock cooler. I did use aftermarket thermal compound though.

F21-7d mechanical keyboard is not cherry or ALPS, they're APC. They're good. 40 bucks and better than the razer ones everyone considers the 'cheapest'.

Headset? Must it be miced? Seriously there are literally no good audio quality gaming headsets even from sennheiser who is a big player in audiophile stuff. If it must get these. I know what you're thinking not over the ear and all that shit, i agree. But these are honestly the best bang for your buck you will get as plantronics break like its going out of style and sennheiser honestly throws together their gaming line. And dont even mention razer in headsets.

This wiki includes a listing of currently shipping or easily available non-shipping mechanical switch keyboards sorted by switch type.

BEFORE YOU READ FURTHER make sure you have read the Geekhack Mechanical Switch Guide.

Although you CAN just google away and find many of these keyboards the listing is also useful for deciphering Model Numbers.

For example Filco's numbers scheme is:
FKB - Filco KB
N/(nil) - NKRO or normal
XXX - numbers of keys
M|MC|ML|MR - Switch type (M - brown, MC - blue, ML - black, MR - red)
/
EB|EFB|UKB|UKFB|FRB|GRB|ITB|SWB|... - Layout type (SWB - Swe/Fin (ISO), EB - US (ASCII), EFB - US "FRONT PRINTED/NINJA" (ASCII), UKFB - UK "FRONT PRINTED/NINJA" (ISO), ... )
2 - PCB (none - type 1, 2 - type 2)(AKA the Majestouch or Majestouch 2)

Also on the new Yellow keyboard a Y is added to designate key color:XXXXXXX-EY2

The Camo has a EMU designation: XXXXXX-EMU2.

So a Filco FKBN87MR/EB2 is a Filco Tenkeyless Cherry Red keyboard with NKRO. Filcos Gen 2 Boxes are also pretty clear as to what you are getting.

Cherry Corporation product codes are much more confusing. If you are interested in a Cherry Corp. keyboard be aware their naming scheme leaves something to be desired. To see a smattering of possible switch/country combinations see the Corporate Website page here. Click on the Models tab. Not all models are available from retailers and Cherry Corp is not friendly to custom orders. To make it even more fun there are models such as the Chinese lettered Blue Cherry board NOT listed. The last two letters refer to country, EU = US (added Euro symbol on the 5 key but otherwise standard US ANSI), DE = Germany, GB - Great Britain, FR = France, RC = Republic of China, ES = Spain (espanol), CH = Swiss Cheese. Nah, the last one is for Confoederatio Helvetica otherwise known as Switzerland. There's Helvetica again, the OFFICIAL font of the IBM Model M. Note that Cherry Corp does a lot of keyboards as customs for their large customers so for example a Cherry Brown MX version has a custom code. Also Cherry Corp POS's naming scheme is far from 100% consistent.

Here is a product brochure for the G80-3000. P should be Cherry Black, S is Cherry Blue, Q is Cherry Brown except for those times Cherry decides to use clears instead. Keeps customers on their toes. There is a more complete description of the Cherry naming scheme in the Wiki here. I think the Germans are playing a massive practical joke on us - I'll never complain about the Filco naming scheme again.

AFAIK the product codes in this list are accurate but if you are concerned (especially buying overseas) it pays to double check by posting in the forums.
