Am I alone in finding specialized trash cans more trouble than they're worth? An expensive hassle that doesn't actually improve the situation much.

Our system is that merely wet diapers go in a plain ol' office-type lined trash can, which is emptied whenever it gets full or especially pungent. (Usually the former before the latter.) Crap-laden diapers get immediately individually bagged in dog-waste baggies (e.g.), tied off, then tossed into the kitchen trashcan, which we're already emptying rather frequently.

One of the best purchases I ever made. Bought these a year and half ago and I still have half a box left. They biodegrade within 1-2 years under normal waste conditions.
