Have been using these barbell collars (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B018QPBPOU?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) for a few weeks now and really enjoying them! Definitely better than spending 5 minutes every workout struggling to grip the spring collars from the gym hard enough to open them properly like I did before the collars.
Also got fractional (1.25lb) plates from Amazon and those have been super helpful too.
I bought these and they are awesome. They're solid. Huge improvement over the metal springs.
