Are you judging it just based off of the official soundtrack that was released? I've read that's the half that's mostly for cinematics and key moments in gameplay. Most of the in-game soundtrack should be less driven and more ambient.

EDIT: If you check out the listing on amazon, you'll see the second disc which hasn't been released fully. Just the first track "cratered" may be more in line of what you're looking for.
