If possible remove the wheels as others have mentioned, you could replace them with something like this

In my scenario the central piston actually extends below the wheel base so I can't just take the wheels off without having to balance on a center pole so my solution was to take cardboard, fold it up and put it in the wheels to prevent them from rolling. Not exactly elegant but it works!

Before I got my proper racing chair to go with the GTOmega stand, I also had a Wheelstand Pro but I had problems with my office chair rolling away on the hardwood floor.

So I replaced the wheels with these little stands.

How important is using the wheels for you?

I personally dislike it and use these.

Not sure if the brakes of the first option is good enough bit maybe it works

Get whatever chair you want and install glides instead of wheels, or just don't install the wheels if you don't want them.
