i know that because its a laptop not meant to run games is the reason why its running poorly, but i just need to know if theres something i can do to at least make it playable on the lowest settings

Not really. I mean, if price is your #1 consideration, it's not an awful deal, but this is about the same (similar specs, with a touchscreen) for $50 less.

If you can spare an extra $100, though, Dell has some laptops that can blow the one you linked to out of the water.
