> I don't think there were many Polish collaborators at all.

The data simply doesn't support that, which is why the Polish government is banning all discussion of it.

> In 1933, Poland had the largest Jewish population in Europe, numbering over three million. By 1950, the Jewish population of Poland was reduced to about 45,000.... Germany had a Jewish population of 565,000 in 1933 and just 37,000 in 1950.

So yeah, judging by the numbers, Poland was literally more cool with this than Germans were.

EDIT: Israel is much less impressed with Poland than you guys are: "Poland was complicit in the Holocaust. Hundreds of thousands of Jews were murdered on its soil without them having met any German officer."

EDIT2: Poland's own Center for Holocaust Research is publicly defending Jan Grabowski, who wrote an entire book documenting "the involvement of the local Polish population in the process of detecting and killing the Jews who sought their aid."

I don't think that any Jew is blaming Poland for the Holocaust.

Some Poles helped to save Jews from the Germans (i.e., the movement Zegota, the underground government organization working to save Jews) and some Poles actively killed Jews escaping from the Germans, this is a well documented historical fact explored in the book "Hunt for the Jews: Betrayal and Murder in German-Occupied Poland"by Jan Grabowski.

So we can see there were some good aspects of Polish/Jewish relations during WWII, and some not so good aspects of Polish/Jewish relations during WWII.

Poland has criminalised talking about the darker more troublesome aspects. Which, while being unpleasant, are nonetheless true.
