Looking back, I now assume you are someones PA or something and dont know anything about anything and were just asked to look into this, rather than this being something you actually do for work. When you mentioned "clients", I assumed you were at least a semi skilled worker. Its okay to ask for help, just be upfront about what you actually know and dont know.

What gave it away was your post in the VM subreddit asking the exact same question. The short answer so you understand it is... if you can plug in a USB plug into your pshysical machine and receive a sound from the VM, using a USB adaptor will also allow you to receive sound. The fact that it is a VM doesnt change much. If the USB output works, it works. Whatever happens beyond that is not affected by whether the source is from a VM or not.

As such, I shall take pity on you and help you with a suggestion.
