I'm doing an experiment with multiple brands and different humidity levels.

This is the other brand I've heard good things.

I use EVAK jars, little glass/plastic jars where you can push the lid down into the container as you remove product to expel any excess air. I stick a Integra Boost 62% 8g 2-way humidity control pack in each container as well. These keep the relative humidity at the ideal setting for smokeable flower, 62%. If it gets too humid, it will lower the RH, and vice-versa. The EVAK containers can be purchased on amazon, you can buy a 3-pack of the mini size for $12, the mini will fit anywhere from a gram to a quarter without issues, and then depending on the bud, you can stuff 10g-14g in one if you really tried. I buy the short/small size for $9 each for a half ounce to an ounce. Than anything over an ounce I will put in the medium short. They have bigger sizes too but I rarely store more than an ounce of one strain, as I do not grow my own. I keep all of my containers in my safe, , so there is no light.

I also have a few Cvault containers that I have used the same way, except they have a built in slot for the 2-way humidity control packs. The Cvault containers actually come with a Boveda pack already in them, but I swap those out for the Integra Boost, as in my experience, they do just as good at preserving the bud without losing any of the smell/taste (I’ve seen the science that shows that Boveda preserves terps so I’m not here to debate this with any Boveda fans, it’s just my experience that I have stronger taste and smell with Integra). The Cvault is great because they’re already light resistant, but they’re also a little pricier, running $20-$30 per container. If you don’t keep many different strains on hand, I would go with the Cvault. I actually still keep my one go-to strain that I always keep on deck, and usually try to avoid sharing, in a Cvault still. Mostly so when others see my medicine, they don’t see the flower in there, but it’s still a great container. I also have a mini Cvault that I use for taking flower with me in my little go-bag. I can throw an eighth in there, and then not have to worry about forgetting to bring my meds with me 🙂

A lot of people really like the mason jars too, they work great at preserving flower. I had a friend who use a machine that sucked all of the air out of mason jars to vacuum seal them, not sure how a vacuum seal works with the humidity packs though.

Make sure to store it all in mason jars with some humidity controller packets to ensure it stays fresh! Integra boost humidity pack

get "integra humidity packets" they come with the packet and a sensor that turns "BLUE" when the humidity goes out of the acceptable range ( the pack is no longer able to maintain rh 62 ). RH 62 is what's recommended for curing ( checked a number of sites ).

That's an awesome idea about the leaves if you still have a live plant around!

If you don't buy some Boveda or Integra 62% humidity packs. Some like integra as it's more designed for cannabis where as boveda is from the cigar industry and catering to us in the cannabis world.

Large jars with humidity packs for long term storage. Move from that jar to a smaller jar you will be opening more regularly for usage. You just don't want to be opening your storage jar as much as your usage jar. It will keep the humidity packs lasting longer. The humidity packs should last 4-6 months in a dark sealed jar. Just replace the packs when they get stiff and you should be able to store for quite a while.
