I think it's more "quackery" than fake, though. They interviewed Budd Hopkins, who actually did write a book about alien encounters: http://www.amazon.com/Intruders-Budd-Hopkins/dp/0345346335
Obviously the video promotes the Disney ride at the end, but it seems like Disney shelved this thing more because it was crappy than anything else.
My favorite book on alien abduction phenomenon is Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind: Alien Abduction, UFOs and the Conference at M.I.T. by C. D. B. Bryan
 
Budd Hopkins books Missing Time and Intruders are also good.
Might want to check out Indiana MUFON, if you've not done so already.
I attended a meeting in 2008 and there was at least one 'abductee' in attendance, the woman who was the subject of Budd Hopkins' book Intruders. Whether or not she continues to participate in MUFON I do not know.
