I live in south Texas so I’m familiar with mildew. Also I remember my parents popup camper w/canvas sides with some mildew but learned how to take care of it to avoid that. It’s also important to note old canvas is different than this canvas which is some proprietary blend.
I personally don’t have any mold or mildew on my tent and I’ve used it probably 20 trips over 2 years. It also get stored inside in my air conditioned closet not in a shed or crawl space so that probably helps. But when it gets wet and I break it down wet/damp I make sure to set it up in my backyard in the sun and have the sun bake it dry. Which depending on the weather down here could be 4 hours or 4 weeks. Hah.
