Male, 32, been through hell and back (many times), now living his dreams surrounded by wonderful supportive people.

First thing you need to do is stop being sorry for yourself, I suggest you read "Justine" by Marque De Sade. It will show the absurdity of living life expecting your "virtue" to be returned by those you have chosen to be around you.

The last part of that sentence is very important you understand, where you are a who relate to are implicit decisions made solely by you. There are three types of people: predators (who you have been hanging around most your life), passive people (who you currently are), and people who live their lives rationally (who you really want to meet). Again, don't feel bad for yourself. My girlfriend used to be in your position till not long ago, yet has now changed her life and reaping the fruits for it.

There is an old Buddhist story about a man who finds a wounded snake and nurses it to health only to be bitten by it when it got better. Dying he asks the snake why it bit it when he was so nice and saved it's life, only to have the snake respond "because I'm a snake". This is what has been happening to you, over and over.

I suggest you get a good shrink to help you develop you EI, and start learning how your mind works (google is your friend).

Best of luck on your journey fellow traveller, the road is long and rocky yet the only real route to happiness. Embrace change, don't fear and over all: love yourself and others.

Sure, or i try the online version or buy it online

Seriously though, my comment was meant to be sarcasm. Banning books and censorship is very well known in the US.

So I guess when Maquis de Sade wrote about ejaculating on a woman's face, amongst many many many porn acts that are considered extreme even to this day, I should've checked what was in people's VCR's, or their TV's and their cookie history?

Take any sex act you can possibly think of. Anything. (not involving modern technology anyways), and it's been done throughout human history.
