I actually use a normal relatively short siphon to suck up debris from the tank. This all goes into a 5 gallon bucket. There is a small water pump inside the bucket that then pushes the water through the 75 foot hose into sink to drain.

You could get something like this, a length of 1/2" ID tubing, and a hose clamp. And maybe a ball valve as well.

I have a smaller one of these that I use for a diy swamp cooler I made:

You'll have to put it in something to prevent debris from getting to the pump intake though.

Used sump pump off kijiji can be found for $25 or less in here in Canada.

I've used this one as well. Looks to be a pretty good price for you Americans right now.

I personally use this pump and I have a similar 3 gal model, I keep my cooling worm right on top with no issue and I get 80-85% alc off of a double distillation with this style still running slow on a spirit run. I would recommend running the pumping water line to the bottom spigot and have the water exit out the top as it worked way better for water management. I would also throw a valve in the middle of the line to control flow because if you get a powerful pump like that one you only need to run it half power. I would also get a 5 gallon bucket for the pump. Oh and the silicone seals on those aren't really food grade or safe imo, so I use a good dab of flour paste around the bottom of the lid rim, it won't latch right but it'll harden like cement before you get your first drip and it's as safe as you can get.

I use this one.

I like it due to its heavy weight. Keeps the pump from floating around and allows manipulation of thick tubing.
