Some dress shoes come with a bag but I am guessing that I long gone. You can put each one in an old sock if it is big enough. Or as you mentioned just wrap a tee shirt around each one. I cannot imagine even needing the zip lock.
You should pack one of the instant buffers to touch them up when you get there also.
