I use a Lacie Rugged Drive and I have 4TB of storage because project sizes and samples adds up quicker than you’d think.

It's a LaCie Rugged 1 TB. I use it to backup my photos on my laptop. Everything gets backed up to a Synology DS412+.

They make normal hard drives too. The rugged one I was looking at was this: http://www.amazon.com/LaCie-Rugged-External-Drive-301558/dp/B0058VIWTM

I personally started buying the Rugged Lacie (http://www.amazon.com/LaCie-Rugged-Portable-Drive-301558/dp/B0058VIWTM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1397293514&sr=8-2&keywords=Rugged+Lacie) because of the many jobs I had that required me to edit on set or on the go.

However, I've reached the point where I have 20 of them now and I'm starting to have nightmares of them attacking me at night.

I'm not familiar at all with the RAID system, I just understand that it fits and connects multiple drives nicely and efficiently.

Is there a RAID system that can incorporate the Rugged LACIES I already have by any chance? If not can anyone point me in the right direction to get started on building a solid RAID Tower?

Much appreciated gents!
