technically, you're not really supposed to run a cord through the wall in the first place. If you really want to, and it's a two prong plug anyway, you could either cut the the plug off and replace it with one of these after you run it through, or if you're hesitant to cut the TV cord, use a two prong extension cord and do the same thing.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised if your TV's cord isn't removable on the TV end, most I've seen lately have had a removable cord of one sort or another, I'd expect yours to be a "figure 8" style connector to the back of the TV, which I'd think you'd be able to fit through or find a replacement with a smaller "figure 8" end connector that will (some of them come with big chunky right angle plugs to make it easier to remove, but you could easily swap that one for a normal cord with a much thinner end!)

Again, technically you shouldn't be running cords or extension cords through walls, but it can be done and it's not like the code enforcement police are going to be knocking down your door in a week if you do.

spade connectors are just a recipe for more heat/resistance... connect it directly to a plug.
