Liquitex professional spray paint works great with XPS. I've used it many times with no problems and no undercoat necessary. It is water based with 'low solvents' according to their description. Totally worth it for the speed and convenience.
You can buy spray paints that are water based so that they do not eat foam. I often use these for spraying both normal styrofoam and XPS foam.
