Your friend isn't supposed to be having a baby shower after the first child. The presumption is that she knows she'll be having more kids, so she was smart enough to hang onto the stuff she needed from the first child.
Of course, these days a lot of people look at baby showers the way that they look at wedding showers--have as many as possible to get as many gifts as possible.

Choose "This Purchase Is A Gift" Option, cough up the money for gift wrap, and ship it directly to your friend's house with a note congratulating her on the new baby, and offering your regrets that you can't make the shower.
Parents of new children always need disposable diapers. They need them for at least two years after the baby is born. Diapers are the single most practical gift you can give to the parent of a new child. Your friend may be silly enough to ask for gold-plated booger suckers, but trust me--one night in the very near future, when it's 3am and the kid needs to be changed again, she will sing your praises to the heavens.
