It's an M.2 SSD. Most modern MB have the connection. They do make USB 3.0 adapters though. Here's one.....

It’s doable, but I would recommend simply getting an enclosure and skip the transfer to HDD. Assuming you are keeping the old SSD, you might as well use it as additional storage in the future.
