It's fairly minor, but my favorite prop was an item one of my players requested. He was playing a 4e Assassin, and over the course of 4 sessions never rolled above a 12 (on the die) for an attack. He wanted a coin for attacks instead- Heads is 20, Tails is 1. Unaware that such things are available for purchase, I made one. Out of lead. Which I melted with a blowtorch and shaped with wood blocks. The item has two limitations to how many times it can be used per day- character's Charisma modifier, and player's willingness to handle a chunk of raw lead.
I'll take a picture of it tomorrow night, if anyone is interested.Goddamn it I forgot to do that.I'm also working on something for the campaign I'm in now, based on something I read here a few weeks ago. There's an item called a Bookplate of Recall. I intend to insert one into a hollowed-out book named "My Emergency Kit," and fill it with useful things. I plan on actually hollowing out a book and filling it with props, to keep myself honest and ensure the things I want to store will actually fit in a book-like space. Unfortunately, that one's not finished yet.
