Oh man, Dino Crisis, fuck me. It's been 15+ years since have absolutely no idea what happened to Regina and Dylan. Word around the campfire is, there will be a DC4 in the upcoming years.

I would suggest getting Midnight Nowhere. I don't think it's available on steam or something alike, but you can buy it on Amazon. It's a really interesting, and, to an extent, thought-provoking game that has an ending that would be considered cliché now, but I liked it back when I played.

System Shock 2 is not in the RE-SH-DC vein, it's an FPS, but it most definitely matches your collecting-micromanagement-puzzle-etc criteria. In fact, it's almost impossible to have a decent run in the game without properly managing your resources.

To an extent, Bioshock, maybe? Not much in the puzzle field though.

Allison Road looks promising as well, but as far as I know, it has not been released yet.

+1 to Evil Within and Metro.
