Honestly, just go with disposable ear plugs that aren't BIFL. I've tried a ton of different foam earplugs and these are definitely the best for me. I've used earplugs for a long time and I can fit these in the farthest and they block out the most sound out of what I've tried, though not too much that you can't hear the alarm.

I ordered a pack of 200 (so I can put some in every pocket) on amazon for about €20. It was a similar situation, I ordered them on my mobile and decided that €20 was okay because I would never manage to actually buy them otherwise.

This is the type I use, there are smaller batches, too.
They can be squeezed. put in the ear channel and expand in a minute or so.

I love my Moldex sparkplugs... they are very comfy and efficient.

I have four, three of which are noisy assholes, and the fourth is a tiny little ole lady (she's 19) who would like to be fed at 5:30 in the morning, thank you very much you lazy piece of shit get up now.

I just bought a box of these, and so far, so good. I figure if they're good enough for NASCAR, they're good enough for the Duke boys and Dennis and the Biscuit. A far better deal than what you can get at the pharmacy!

Slightly offtopic, but have you tried earplugs? I carry them everywhere and it's really helped me cope with social outings that are loud like bars, concerts, and movies.
