She was an accomplished poet and songwriter. Her poetry is somewhat maudlin but beautiful. Her compositions for piano are marked by the same looping style that characterized her son Nick's guitar work. Yes, Squirrel Thing Recordings put out an entire album of Molly's songs recorded in the 50's. They stand on their own as great songs and also provide a very keen insight into how much Nick was influenced by his mother's music.
