I am lame and wear a reflector vest like this on my commutes most of the time
It makes drivers respect me a lot more. When I am driving, I notice riders much sooner than without them

It's worth potentially looking ridiculous if it decreases the chance of getting hit. I wear this daily on my bike.
Never have a problem when I wear this vest. And it's cheaper!
Also, isn't there something in the contract about not giving the impression you are an employee?
