I have this issue, too! I usually shave because I'm lazy. For your face, you want to use less strong products (the skin on your legs is thicker) and more or less treat it like acne and keep the dead skin off it and moisturize the shit out of the area so the hair can do its thing without being trapped.
Use an exfoliator once a week and before shaving/plucking. Right now I'm obsessed with L'Oreal Paris' Pure-Clay Cleanser.
I also use the following products but just one should work:
They deliver a ton of moisture to your skin helping sooth it and keep it pliant so hair doesn't get trapped. I also like neutrogena's pore refining toner. It has a ton of alcohol and isn't great for your skin but it's the only stripping product I use and is amazing at cleaning out and reducing the appearance of pores and the only thing I've used that's worked for that.

And I've also cut breads and dairy out of my diet. I seem to break out when eating lots of bread.
I looked on Amazon - as much as I hate buying from there, it looks like that's the place to go. (I'm happy to see a change from what I found last year though - finally, some sellers have realized that people outside the US would like this stuff too.)

I use 2 different Neutrogena Deep Clean products. This exfoliating scrub every few mornings, when I feel like I need a good clean. This every night. Then after that I apply this toner with a cotton ball. The final step, moisturizer!
How often should I be using toner and exfoliating gel? Is every day too much? I find the toner helps clear my black heads but it sometimes makes my nose look shiny.
