Whoa! I totally missed comments on this post. I intended to post another link, but didn't get around to it. The second is a compound called "noalox".
It is a conductive anticorrosive agent for aluminum-aluminum, and aluminum-other metal joints. We used it on Power Meter Lugs, but PUT IT ON YOUR CAR BATTERY TERMINALS! You will never have a car that doesn't start because of corrosion again. The stuff is fabulous.
Get yourself some Noalox or DeoxIT and keep a thin layer on the battery terminals.
It's called Noalox. I don't personally use it anymore though. It doesn't make that much of a difference and gets gunky/attracts sand very quickly. You have to constantly clean your mech if you use it. I prefer all-purpose teflon silicon-based lubricant.
Pickup either at HomeDepot/Lowes. Noalox is in the electrical department and other lubes are in next to the glue, maybe in the paint department.
