I love [this idea/tutorial] (http://youtu.be/0SsogyiQeQ8) because you get great lighting and you can adjust the lighting! And the supplies needed are very cheap on Amazon! I suspect they used something like these (the 4 lights in the middle/top look slightly off from the sides) https://www.amazon.com/Nuvo-193-Vanity-Polished-24-Inch/dp/B002OMGZLA so you could probably cut out an area for 4x4 boxes on each edge of the mirror and install standard 1 gang old work boxes along the bottom. Maybe you'd want to use armored cable between all those boxes, but it's going to get hefty and I doubt that's really code compliant to install on a table like that.
edit: A lot of customer photos on Amazon show those fixtures just having lamp cords run out the back. That's certainly a very DIY way to go... and then they cover it in black spray paint.
