My guy is the same way. He got one of the knotted ropes for Christmas. It was shredded thread all over my floor within a few hours (and that was when he was out with other toys.)

I use these Nylon Marrow bones They are great.. you can fill them with peanut butter and place it in the freezer overnight. He will spend a good deal of time and effort trying to get the peanut butter out.

kibble dispensing toys:

starmark bobalot --adjustable opening sizes, separate compartment for extra goodies.
petsafe magic mushroom -- adjustable openings
omega tricky treat ball -- treat ball for kibble and smallish treats
JW Treat Ball -- treat ball for larger pieces of dog biscuit

goop/cheese/mush holders:
classic kong for all the things.
nylabone marrow bone--good with melted cheese smeared inside.
goughnuts cup--no hole in the bottom, so easy to fill with liquid and then freeze.

Puzzles:
trixie brand puzzles like this one require a bit more finesse, but once the dog gets the hang of it it's fun.
ball sleeve (non-food option)
kyjen ball inside ball (non-food option), also good with a stuffed animal hidden inside.

random combinations of other toys. For example,
a stuffed jolly pets monster mouth can be wedged neatly inside dog savers tire for a greater challenge.
