There are small CD receivers available from major brands. You wouldn't need to use speakers if all you listen to is headphones.

So I just bought a turntable. Hatred incoming: it's a shitty crosley. Keep in mind that was an impulse buy at the mall. I can't count the number of times I've seen records I wanted around town, bought them, and then remembered I had no way to play them after the fact. So...fuck it?

I plan on buying a new one soon because, while I assumed it would sound shitty, it sounds really shitty. I tried hooking it up to my computer speakers and even then there's just flat out no bass on the fucking thing.

So of course now I'm gonna have to spend my money and get a not shit one.

I was thinking an LP120, if only because it's reasonably cheap and (I've been told) mid range/decent soundwise. My question of course being, since that has a built in phono amp, do I need a receiver to hook it up to these

(By all means give me suggestions on reasonably priced/bedroom sized speakers also)

Save me from my bullshit purchase.
