Basic and gets the job done. Surprisingly durable as we use it by saltwater all season long and we have humid fall and winter. I think that's where CFIAC fails. The burner is not cast iron (neither is campchef) it is some 2 piece welded together pot metal ring which begins to flake and adds to the soot. The burner on the campchef looks great after 3 years with no signs of corrosion. If I could have it my way, I would get a stainless burner like the outland.
