I just posted this same reply elsewhere but my top two options if you can go to the $500 range are Optoma HD 143X for $499 and Epson 2150 for $699.

Okay, so price is going to be an issue. Here are two, one from best buy and one from amazon. The amazon one is the upgrade to my current one.

both are gaming oriented, and unfortunately they are a little more in canada than the US. I am not familair with importing or how easy it may be to get one from the US.

Thanks for the advice! I'd obviously rather not drop $300 on something so bad its unusable. I'll keep an eye on that one and maybe this? for black friday. I read on a forum that the Optoma is pretty good. Would you lean toward the Epson?
