That's not the right harness. Your factory harness doesn't have 12V switched from the factory. It uses CAN data signals to turn on and off. You need an interface. Two options:

Use the harness you have. Run your own ignition source from elsewhere in the car up to the head unit.
Return that harness and buy the proper interface. This is the best one. It will keep your steering wheel controls working also. This one will also work, but will not retain steering wheel controls without more parts.

I just used a wire harness from Amazon that said Ford Focus 2010. It looks like a generic harness.

I don't want to take a wire out of the vehicle factory harness :(
