No. For some reason so many people seem to think just "aiming" them fixes this. It doesn't, you still end up with dangerous amounts of scattered light.

I was seriously considering an HID retrofit until I read up on it. The only right way to do it is with original Mazda HID headlamp housings and hardware, which was out of my budget. Otherwise you're a hazard to others on the road and open yourself up to issues with your insurance in the event of an accident.

I ended up going with Phillips Diamond Vision halogens paired with LED switchback parking lamps/blinkers and have been super happy with how they perform and look.

Sounds great!

Pro tip: I use to have an 899 and changed the headlight leds. Quick 5 min install and it makes it so much better.

Plug and play, no wiring nonsense and no programming. Also, it comes with two standard H7 bulbs (for the highs) and you move your existing H7s over from the existing headlights.

The ones that came on the car suck in my opinion, I moved to Philips Diamondvision H7s, linked below:

These are awesome in terms of color temperature (pure white, not blue at all [after 2 minutes of warming up]).

I got one set of Diamond Vision H7s for low beams (because I use those 99% of the time) and use my stock H7 bulbs for the highs (more yellow). But if you wanna go full flex mode, grab two sets of those Diamond Visions and you'll be SET.

Note: Factory uses one H7 and one other weird crazy running / high beam bulb / headlight. The ones from BEC use two H7s.
