Meanwhile, I'm planning on getting a new shaver (le sigh, the fact that I have to replace it) and a haircut this November.

From someone who gets a 5 o'clock shadow by the end of rounds, I love my Philips Norelco rotary shaver. I use it every morning and it takes <2 minutes to get a good close shave.
This is pretty damn amazing on old skin. Especially the paper thin type that bleeds easily.
