My tips are to go super lightly down the grain (not against it) just enough to take off the noticeable fluff. Razor burn is from mini-nicks in your skin and ingrown hairs. You don't want to be that aggressive on your face. Alternatively, you can use a small trimmer or something similar to try it out without getting a razor near your face. If you're really concerned, I would recommend using an AHA or BHA exfoliation to prevent any ingrown hairs if you do accidentally get too close.

When I do shave, I shave after showering, I use Gilette foam (red). Can I use Arko with a gilette disposable razor?
I know its dumb to use that norelco thing so often, but I've gotten into the habit.
Nose hair is actually a part of your body's immune system. It catches things going up your nose.
I have this trimmer. It works really well, and also works for other body parts, like trimming eyebrows to be even, and for getting random stray hairs. If you notice nose hair just swipe the trimmer around the edges of your nostrils and it will clear things out. It takes less than 30 seconds.
I use an electric trimmer. It also works for your nose. I find that blades and wax irritates my skin up there too much.
Not sure if this is the wrong sub either, but I'll put my two cents in.
I use this guy to trim - The bigger head for the main area, and the smaller head for any crevices/wrinkly areas.
I used to use the bigger head for all of it, but it can get rather pinchy if you press too hard. The smaller head is much more forgiving (but not completely!) in that regard.

I use one of those really cheap trimmer things like this. My peach fuzz drives me crazy, and my face feels nice and smooth after I use it. I use a DE Razor, I'm not putting that near my face! :)

Philips-Norelco precision trimmer. Nose, ears and even sideburns.
Plucking is time consuming and uncomfortable. Get one of these and just trim between your eyebrows every morning. Also has a guard so you can trim your bushy eyebrows down to size if you want.
