Plantronics Backbeat Fit ~$95 : http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-BackBeat-Fit-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B00KJLMBSO/

Have gone through a few other wireless options and these have been the best so far - fit is great, sound is ok, looks hot.

u/Gorillamedic17 · 14 pointsr/Fitness

The Wirecutter has good run down on the options: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wireless-exercise-headphones/

I went with Plantronics BackBeat Fit and love them. More of my time is spent walking/cycling/running than in the gym, so open-air headphones were a must. I like having situation awareness. I get that I give up some bass and audio quality, but I've got high quality studio monitors for when I'm listening to music on purpose.

These are comfortable, stay in even while running or exercising intensely, have a great battery life, and intuitive controls.

  1. Plantronics BackBeat Fit BT headphones are pretty awesome: https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-BackBeat-Fit-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B00KJLMBSO?th=1

I really, really like the Plantronics backbeat fit. They stay in my ears great, even when I jump rope or do sprints. I also wear them in the gym and are comfortable lying on a bench or doing core work on the floor. I started with a pair like these with the long wire, and hated them. That wire that drapes on your neck? Yeah it bounces with every step and you get an annoying noise in your ears each time it bounces.

I use these headphones with my iPhone SE. They've been great. This morning I did a card deck workout with burpees, jump rope, box jumps, and pushups and they stay in place with a good connection to my phone sitting off to the side. Then I did a 2 mile run with them and again, they worked great. I also weight lift with them on and no troubles there. I also wear them throughout the day at work listening to podcasts. They last about 8 hrs of solid play before I have to recharge them.

They aren't earbuds (they are over the ear), but I switched a few weeks ago from the LG Tone (the neck band bouncing was driving me crazy) to Plantronics BackBeat Fit and I love them. Other than hearing music in my ears, I can hardly tell that I'm wearing headphones. And with the over the ear design, they don't fall out.

I have Plantronics Backbeat FIT headphones and love them. Only had them for a couple months, but they've been soaked with sweat many times and have had no issues.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KJLMBSO are the ones.

  1. I needed to replace mine fairly quickly. Within 2-3 weeks. (One reason I stopped using them). I sweat a whole bunch on mine last year, eventually the headphones stopped working. I suspected it was related.
  2. Dry them out after every use - I believe (don't quote me on this) you could use a little rubbing alcohol to help.
  3. I would grab the 'official' ones, simply because they wear out so quickly...I can't imagine how quickly the cheap ones would go.
  4. Yea, I ended up purchasing these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KJLMBSO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they have worked beautifully.

I used two separate sets of headphones that used the comply foam tips, and both times the foam tips were trashed within two weeks. I didn't want to spend a ton of money of them so I found the over-the-ear ones to work well.

you can also get some bluetooth headphones. DH and I use these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KJLMBSO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

not going through 4 month regression yet, but LO has a witching hour so I listen to audiobooks and carry him around while he screams

u/krissycole87 · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

I was having trouble with earbuds not staying in my ears until I found this over-the-ear style.
After researching all the over-the-ear style brands and models, I decided on this one from Plantronics and have never looked back.
They are super lightweight, I often forget Im even wearing them. Very good sound quality and sweat proof. They last ~12 or so hours so I get 5 or 6 workouts in before needing to charge.
All in all I think they are awesome, and are way more affordable than some of the other options. Highly recommend. I got them at Christmas and cant imagine using anything else.

I use these headphones and this armband.

I've only recently found my favorite running headphones. I've gone through probably 6 different wired headphones and 2 Bluetooth headphones. I've been running with the Plantronics BackBeat Fit for about 3 or 4 months now and think I finally found my favorite. I run about 2 or 3 times a week and also wear them when cleaning around the house. They can go a full week without charging them. I also love the fact that they don't actually go into my ear and more hover over. Another great feature is when you put then on and power them up, a voice will tell you that they successfully connected to your phone and the remaining hours of battery left on them.

Edit: I also want to mention that you don't have to worry about these slipping out of your ear. I sweat big time when I run and I never had to mess around with them or have them slip out of my ear.

u/rakrezek · 1 pointr/running

I wear a cloth arm band like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/197753442/cell-phone-running-armband-pouch-sleeve?gpla=1&gao=1&utm_campaign=shopping_us_Speedzter_sfc_osa&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_custom1=0&utm_content=9612805&gclid=Cj0KCQjwl7nYBRCwARIsAL7O7dFRTRrB3oQ9RVT6g2O1QuTvAbWynBIGZbntsfKnIBvkXzmQtL66bysaAohMEALw_wcB

On top of that, I also put my phone in a zip lock bag because of how much I sweat. Then I use wireless headphones. Which again, because I sweat a lot, took me a minute to find a good pair that could handle a lot of sweat. Been using Beat Back Fit's for almost a year now and they still work like they are brand new. Highly recommend them.

Why does it need to be a single? I use these at work with no issues. The sound is great and they're very comfortable. Plus they do not cut external sounds.

u/SirSassquatch · 1 pointr/Fitness

I finally doubled down on a proper set of wireless buds. These things never lose signal (within reason), they are super comfortable, practically weightless, and you don't have that annoying cable in your way anymore.

I have these. They've put up with a lot of abuse.

u/Tinfoilhatmaker · 1 pointr/dubai

I second Plantronics. I've been using these Backbeat Fit ones for over 2 years and they've been great so far.

Before these, I used to use these Jaybird BlueBuds but they stopped working after only around 6 months or so due to sweat. The battery stopped holding any charge.

I liked the Jaybirds for their noise-cancellation and heavy bass, but the fact they didn't last long and weren't entirely sweat-resistant like they were supposed to be put me off that company.

The Plantronics on the other hand, while not as snug a fit as the Jaybirds (probably the model I have) I still rate higher since they've lasted this long and are very sweat-proof.

I splurged on these and love them dearly. They hook over the ear, because I have the kind of ears that forcibly eject ear buds even when sitting completely still. The battery goes for about a week, and did I mention that I love them?

I use these bluetooth headphones they are under $100 and work very well

I've got a pair of Plantronics Backbeat Fit (https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-BackBeat-Fit-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B00KJLMBSO). These are the older version, I think there's an upgrade by now.

I got them since 2015. The great thing for me is that they are open-ear meaning the ambient sound flows in. It's nice to NOT be noise-canceling while I'm running on streets, hills, and cycling etc.

The sound is actually okay. I have sony wh-1000xm2, RHA in-ear etc for office settings. So Plantronics didn't sound really bad in that regards.

u/RottingFetus · 1 pointr/Fitness

I use Plantronics BackBeat Fit Headphones! and love them! You can answer phone calls, adjust volume, Go to next or previous song, and check battery life. Also has 8 hour lifespan and really good sound quality.

u/DuckReconMajor · 1 pointr/Fitness

Yep I came in to say this. Have never been so impressed by a product before. It's about $100 but it's worth every single penny
