For charging controllers, I just purchased one of these. I look snazzy and holds the controllers as well instead of having them flopping all over my entertainment center. My only concern now is can I leave one on the charger plugged in even after it's fully charged without causing harm to the battery. :D Actually just answered my own question by reading one of the reviews where they state that the current shuts off when the charge is complete. Yay! :D

Do yourself the favor of buying a charging dock. It looks like the official ones aren't being made anymore so I'd go with this. Keeps your controllers charged and organized. Also, try craigslist or ebay for game bundles, but buying used on amazon is going to be dirt cheap. Definitely look into the HD collections. Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Metal Gear Solid, God of War (grab the one with God of War 3 in it), Devil May Cry, and more are all super solid.

I bought one of these for my 360 at a non-ridiculous price. When I get a PS3, I'll get one for it.

I grabbed one of these and have been very pleased. Not very expensive and looks slick as snot next to my entertainment center.

I charge mine using the Energizer Power and Play.
