Also, the 98% DEET might melt synthetics... so be careful about what you spray it on.
You could also check out Permethrin clothing treatment products. This stuff works great to repel ticks and mosquitoes, just make sure you follow the directions.
For another option, I've had good luck with ThermaCELL clip on repellant.
Buy a Thermacell. You can thank me later... there are a few options - some for personal carry, others like a lantern that you can set out on your patio.

Besides bugdope and maybe some pick, you might want to pick up a
ThermaCell. They have sort of become all the rage in Fairbanks this year
and my dad swears by them.

drop one next to your tent and you should have a radius enough to at least eat and sleep without too many bugs
also grab a couple refills
this because mosquitos suck (literally) and repellant smells gross. I want whatever you want to give, you very crafty person.
Apparently Thermacells are great for dispersing flying/biting insects.
