Mirá, con el caso de alemán no te puedo ayudar mucho. Pero yo usé la versión en francés de este libro https://www.amazon.com/Practice-Perfect-Complete-Grammar-McGraw-Hill/dp/0071763600 y después de leerlo pasé de no entender un carajo a solamente no saber el vocabulario.

Después, yo sigo a este chabon: https://www.universeofmemory.com/german-from-the-scratch-b2-5-months/ que parece humo, pero sus métodos hacen referencia a distintos papers (que leí y adhiero). Nota: leo solo lo gratis, tiene un curso pago donde el mismo te ayuda pero ahi ya no te puedo dar referencias.

Actually, practice makes perfect has a whole series of books. I like the "complete german grammar" book for starters. I may pick up the one that is preposition specific at some point.
