Mine is moving across the country. I had already done three years of college at this tiny little private school (seriously tiny, it was like 2500 students total) in the Midwest. But my fiance had been going through a lot of shit that I won't go into here, and it really just felt like a different place would be a good idea for us.

Now, I'm not saying it was a good idea. Trust me, I've heard a million times how I was kind of an idiot to just run away. I know. But it happened, and I think it still counts here.

So since he's from Texas, we decided we might as well try a university in Texas. He had me pick one that looked cool, and we applied. Then exactly a year ago today, my dad and I drove down to Texas with all my stuff and moved me into my first apartment. My fiance moved in later that day.

After seeing my parents every school break the past three years, and living with them before that (obviously), I didn't see them for the next 6 months. And now I haven't for the previous 8 months. I went from a school of 2,500 to a school of 30,000. I left behind a lot of friends and clubs and support.

I know it's not much, but it was scary for me, and it hasn't been an easy year. But now, I'm glad I did it. I'm happy where I am. so you can do it!

Edit: Oh, and you wanted us to link an item. Here's mine.
