My tutor has me working out of one that I believe is out of print.

I went through this one although I found it used much less english explanation than I thought was called for at N4 level

This is one is shorter and less detailed, but more of the details are in English.

One of the problems is that you start to get particles and phrase structures at N4 level that really make you stop using brain-english crutches to understand. Clearly they are trying to get you to take another step towards thinking in Japanese.

Now, I'm not a very smart guy, but its been very beneficial for me to slog through the N4 material.
