In all seriousness, I use the cheap 30$ gloves (Everlast) that you can pick up in your average sporting goods store. It might just have been my luck, but they've lasted me over a year now with no tearing or other problems. I hit the bag upwards of 5 times a week for anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours. I use the 16 oz. gloves.

For about 20-30$ more you can get the next "tier" of gloves which include better ventilation and gel inserts. As long as you invest in decent wraps though, the basic gloves should do fine for bag work.

I'm a total noob and joined a gym last week.
