If you're putting it in a skillet or in the oven you almost always are going to need a higher smoke point than that. It's why I have two of these, one with extra virgin for sandwiches and salads and the other with extra light for cooking. I do all of my mixing by weight, even liquids. The dropper would work better in that situation.
